Wood Vision Clinic is Hiring an Optometric Assistant Near Hampton, IA

Job Summary: We seek a dedicated and reliable Optometry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist our Optometrists and Opticians in providing outstanding customer service to our patients. Experience in the optical industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and assist with check-in process
  • Conduct pre-screening tests on patients before they meet with the Optometrist
  • Assist patients with the selection and fitting of eyeglasses
  • Process eyeglass and contact lens orders
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of optical supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in an optical or healthcare setting preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Fluency in Spanish is a bonus, but not a requirement
